NSBECS Standard 8:  An excellent Catholic school uses school-wide assessment methods and practices to document student learning and program effectiveness, to make student performances transparent, and to inform the continuous review of curriculum and the improvement of instructional practices.

View Personnel: Ensure personnel who have access to school data is up to date, especially if you have had changes in administration or staffing.

Delete Personnel: Delete personnel who are no longer employed.

Reset Student Passwords: Prevent student mix-ups by updating default passwords and preventing new students being forced to change their password.  

User Name & Passwords: Access student usernames and passwords.

The Archdiocese of San Francisco uses Renaissance Star as our system-wide growth progress assessment tool. It is intended to be used as a tool to monitor overall progress and growth and provide benchmark data to identify if students are on track for high school and college readiness and are achieving sufficient growth.

In conjunction with classroom data, teachers can use Renaissance Star to identify students needing additional support.

Star Screening Report

This report shows students’ placement as compared to the district benchmark. Easily identify student who need intervention. 

What learning gaps do my students have? What are they ready to learn?

Instructional Planning Student/Class Report

Reports provide a list of recommended skills for individualized, group or class instruction based on their Star assessment score. Great tool for identifying learning gaps and intervention focus. 

How did my students perform on state standards and skills?

State Standards Mastery or Monitor Student Mastery Dashboard

These reports summarize students’ mastery of state standards. Easily identify which grade level standards students have already mastered, which standards are the lowest performing, etc.

Renaissance Star Assessments

Renaissance Star Assessments are computer-adaptive tests (CATs) for pre-K—12 students that measure reading, math, and early literacy skills.

 CATs are computer-adaptive tests that adjust based on students’ responses. If your student answers a question correctly, the next one is more difficult. If he or she answers incorrectly, the next is easier.

Teachers use the data from Star Assessments to answer essential questions he or she has about their student’s learning needs and to improve academic outcomes for all the students in the class.
